Juanita Burrow, age 96, of the Brattontown Community of Macon County, passed away Saturday, August 11th at her residence.  Funeral services for Juanita Burrow  will be conducted from the Chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette on Tuesday, August 14th at 11:00 a.m. with Elder ìPee Weeî Massey officiating.  Interment will follow in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park.   

Visitation with the family will be on Monday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and resume on Tuesday at 9 a.m. until service time.

R.C. Morgan, age 89, of the Meadorville Community in Macon County, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Sumner Regional Medical Center.  Funeral services for R.C. Morgan will be conducted from the Chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette on Saturday at 11:00 AM with Elder Ricky White and Elder Mike Carver officiating.  Interment will follow in the Drury Cemetery. Graveside Services and interment with Military Honors for Paul Copas will be conducted Wednesday morning, August 1, 2012 at 10 a.m. from the Anderson & Son Memorial Park in Lafayette, TN with Brother Tim White officiating.

Steve Andrew Watkins, age 57 of Lafayette, TN passed away Saturday afternoon, June 9, 2012 at his residence. Private Services for Steve Andrew Watkins were held at a later date. Steve was born May 24, 1955 in Tampa, Florida, the son of Katy Snyder of Cloverport, Kentucky and Steve Watkins of Brownwood, Texas. He was a former Lumber Inspector for Clark Lumber Co, Rich Lumber Co and Smith Lumber Co. Steve was a veteran of the United State Air Force where he proudly served his country. Survivors besides his parents include: devoted companion, Delilah Stapleton, Lafayette, Katyís companion, Neil Raybuck, Cloverport, KY, brother, John Watkins, Athens, AL.

Lucretia Inez Winans, age 75, of Lafayette, passed away Tuesday morning, May 22nd, at Macon County General Hospital.  Graveside services were conducted in New York. There were no services locally. Billy Wilson McClard, age 91, of Lafayette, TN went home to be with the Lord on February 15, 2012 at NHC Place Cool Springs in Franklin. A native of Macon County, he was the only child of the late Clarence and Nallie (Porter) McClard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant children, William and Susan McClard. He was married to the former Jean Harris, who survives and has been by his side for over 62 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Ann McClard of Brentwood, and ìbeloved daughtersî Jennie Smith Pegg and Laura Smith Hendrix. He graduated from Lafayette High School in Macon County and attended U. T. Junior College at Martin and TN Tech. In 1948, he graduated from the University Of Tennessee College Of Pharmacy where he was a member of Kappa Psi Fraternity. He was on active duty during the invasion of Normandy in North France, landing on Omaha beach on D plus one on June 7, 1944 as Medical Sergeant Chief of Section 673 with the 38th field artillery battalion. He was honorably discharge on July 12, 1945. During the war, he went from Omaha Beach to Pilsen, Czechoslovakia where his unit met up with the Russians when the Germans surrendered. He owned and operated McClardís Drugs in Lafayette for 47 1/2 years. He served as Director of Citizens Bank and served on many committees from 1958 to 2005. He was Vice President of the Citizens Bancorp from 1986 until 2005. He was a charter member and former President of the Lafayette Rotary Club, former President of Macon County U. T. Alumni Association, and former Director of Tri County Electric Membership Co-Op. He was inducted into the Macon County Sports Hall of Fame in recognition of his skills in the game of football. Anyone who knew ìBillî knew he was an avid University of Tennessee sports fan. He was a member of the Lafayette First Baptist Church.

Olivet Cemetery on Lebanon Road in Nashville at 1:30PM. Directors of Citizens Bank and Former Employees of McClardís Drugs will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Carolyn Burks Whitley Christian, age 66 of the Highland Community in Macon County, TN passed away Tuesday afternoon, February 14, 2012 at the Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN. Louise Foust, age 84 of the Drapertown Community in Macon County, TN passed away Monday afternoon, January 30, 2012 at the Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN. Graveside Services for Louise Foust were conducted Friday morning, February 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. from the Whitley Cemetery in Red Boiling Springs with Pastor Ralph Wheaton officiating. Maggie Dean Boyd, age 63, of Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday morning, January 24th at her residence.  Funeral services for Maggie Boyd were conducted from the chapel of Anderson and Son Funeral Home in Lafayette on Thursday, January 26th, at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Joey Potete, Elder Jerry Smith and Brother Neal Boyd officiating.  Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park. James Dale Sanders, age 77 of Red Boiling Springs, TN and formerly of Illinois passed away Sunday morning, January 15, 2012 at The Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN. Private Funeral Services for James Dale Sanders will be conducted at a later date. James was born April 7, 1934 in Richland, IL, the son of the late James Luther and Mary Elizabeth Hurst Sanders. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Timothy Sanders, two sisters and three brothers. He was a former Supervisor for B & L Railroad in Baltimore, Maryland with 20 years of service and a United States Veteran.

James Price Austin, age 83, of the Pumpkintown Community in Macon County, passed away on Monday morning, January 2, 2012 at Kindred Hospital in Nashville, TN.  Funeral services for James Austin were held at the Anderson & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Lafayette on Thursday, January 5th, at 11:00 a.m. with Elder Ricky Wilson officiating.  Burial with military honors followed in the Galen Cemetery.
