Blanche McLerran Carver, age 94 of the Hermitage Springs Community in Clay County, TN passed away Friday morning, December 5, 2014 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville, KY.  Blanche is at Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN.

Funeral Services for Blanche McLerran Carver will be conducted Sunday afternoon, December 7, 2014 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with Sean Dozier and Julie Derrick officating.  Interment will follow in the Pitcock Cemetery.    

Visitation with the family will begin Saturday 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.  Family request memorials be made to the Clay County Historical Museum, Jackson County Historical Museum, Hermitage Springs School, Hermitage Springs School or the Hermitage Springs Church of Christ.  You may make these memorials by calling or coming by the funeral home. 

Survivors include: daughter & son-in-law, Carmen & Harry T. Matthews, Lafayette, TN; granddaughter & her husband, Julie & Mark Derrick, Lakewood, OH; grandson & his wife, Phillip & Ashleigh Matthews, Hermitage Springs Community; sisters, Edna Sandys, Maumee, OH, Erma Gass, Moss, TN; great-grandchildren, Luke Carver Derrick, Mallory Caroline Derrick, Kayleigh Paige Matthews and Kendall Leigh Matthews.

I am very sadden by the news that Aunt Blanche has passed.  I pray she went peacefully.
She was a wonderful person and always so gracious and kind to me.
