Bonnie Alene Cherry, age 80 of the Union Hill Community in Clay County, TN passed away Friday morning, March 27, 2026 at Macon Community Hospital. Bonnie is in the care of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN.

Funeral Services for Bonnie Alene Cherry will be conducted Sunday afternoon, March 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with John Carlisle & Rick Mosley officiating. Interment will follow in the Hinson Cemetery.

Visitation will begin on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m.

She is preceded in death by: parents, Mansfield & Oda (Hinson) Jones; daughter, Tammy Gail Rhoton; sisters, Estelle Cherry, Thelma Short, & Viola Looper; brothers, Carlene & Joe Ray Jones.

Survivors include: sons, Richard Rhoton & companion, Rayna of Homosassa, FL, Jason Rhoton of the Union Hill Community; daughters, Jenny Brockette & husband, Darren of the Hermitage Springs Community, Rhonda Birdwell & husband, Kenny, Elizabeth Knusden & husband, T.J. all of Watertown; brother, Duke Jones; sister, Barbara “Bob” Dotson both of Lafayette; special friends, Kathy Bean & Patricia Hatcher; 14 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
