Mrs. Darnell, Bobby and I just love you. We have always enjoyed being in the presence of you and Mr. Darnell. Kathy, I was around when you worked at the bank, and I still feel the same in that you're just fantastic and terrific. I wasn't around Mark much in school, but I knew who he was. Mr. Darnell was a gentleman. We love you all, and you're all in our prayers as always. God bless you. Bobby K. & Jennifer , and children ; Kirstie, Bro. Will, and Endora Horne

We just learned of Charlie's death and we wanted to express our sympathy to the entire family. Charlie and Frances were quick to take us under their wings when we first moved to Lafayette in 1996. We have great respect for Charlie as a Christian businessman, husband, father, and grandfather. You are in our prayers as you grieve for him. Sincerely, Ron and Sherry Roberson

In the early 60's we socialized with Charlie and Frances. All of us had graduated UT Knoxville. We lived in Nashville and they lived in Franklin. We moved away and later learned that Charlie and Frances had moved to Macon County where he had become associated with Citizens Bank. A life well-lived! Frances, you have my sincere sympathy.

Kathy, Mark, Lena and your families. I am sorry that Charlies life on this earth is over. He was such a good man in every way. He was a good father, husband and citizen. If all men were like Charlie, this would be a wonderful world. He cared about so many and he lived his life according to his principles. I know Charlie because he married my cousin and friend, Frances. Knowing Charlie has been a great privilege. Janet Williamson Naff

Mark and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Charles was one of the first people that I met in 1974 even before I moved to Lafayette. He handled the mortgage on my home. without even knowing me.I will be praying for the family.
