Christine Caruthers Carter, age 91 of Lafayette, TN passed away Saturday evening, April 20, 2024 at Knollwood Manor in Lafayette, TN. Christine is in the care of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette.
Funeral Services for Christine Caruthers Carter will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, April 24, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Elder Todd Austin officiating. Interment will follow in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park.
Visitation will begin Tuesday from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until her service at 1:00 p.m.
Family request memorials be made to New Zion Missionary Baptist Church. You may make these memorials by calling or coming by the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by: Husband, Roy L. Carter; Parents, James Ottis Caruthers and Ruby Cox; Sister, Willie Ruth Brockette.Survivors include: sisters, Betty Sue Hersey & Carolyn Shoemake both of Lafayette, Mary Lou Jones of Indianapolis, IN; brothers & sisters-in-law, Charles “Ott” Caruthers & his wife, Julie of Lafayette, C.G. Caruthers & his wife, Kathleen of S.C.; her special children, Amanda Russell & her husband, Greg and their children, Ellie, Norah & Lucas, Zach Caruthers & his step-daughter, Marleigh; sisters-in-law, Agnes Bush of Red Boiling Springs, Betty Carver & her husband, Charles of Nashville; a host of nieces and nephews.
