Cortez Russell

Cortez Russell, age 96, of Lafayette, passed away on Monday morning, May 15th, 2017 at Knollwood Manor in Lafayette.   Cortez is at the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette.

Funeral services for Cortez Russell will be conducted on Thursday afternoon, May 18th at 2:00 p.m. from the Anderson & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Lafayette with Elder Eddie Gregory officiating.   Interment will follow in Macon County Memorial Gardens in Lafayette.               

Visitation with the family will begin on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and resume on Thursday from 11 a.m. until service time. 

He is survived by:  Son and Daughter-in-law:  Carroll and Emily Russell, of the Cato Community, Special Niece:  Anita (Jimmy) Hoskins, of Lafayette, Grandchildren:  Lundy Russell, of Lafayette, William “Bill” (Kim) Russell, Jr., of Nashville, Rhana Hale, of Gallatin, McKenzie Russell, of the Cato Community, Sister:  Geneva Knight, of Indianapolis, IN, Brother:  T.J. Russell, of Lafayette, Former Daughter-in-law:  Barbara Russell Ray, of Lafayette, Sisters-in-law:  Myra Archer Evetts, of Lebanon, Sarah Evetts, of Ethridge, TN, 5 Great-Grandchildren, 8 Great-Great Grandchildren, along with Several Loving Nieces and Nephews.
