Dorothy Brockette Grissom, age 78 of Gallatin, TN & formerly of the Union Camp Community in Macon County passed away Sunday morning, May 17, 2026 at Alive Hospice in Nashville. Dorothy is in the care of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN.

Funeral Services for Dorothy Brockette Grissom will be conducted Friday afternoon, May 22, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with Keith Parker officiating. Interment will follow in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park.

Visitation will begin on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m.

She is preceded in death by: parents, Willard & Willa Dean (Glover) Brockette; son, Bryan Grissom; brother, Paul Brockette; sister, Ruth Kirkland.

Survivors include: husband, Gary Grissom of Gallatin; sons, Gary Scott Grissom & wife Shannon of Murfreesboro, Joshua Trent Grissom & wife Valerie of Gallatin; daughter-in-law, Amy Grissom of White House; 8 grandchildren, Connor & Emma Grissom, Annalise & Allie Grissom, Naomi Kate, Vivian & Eloise Grissom, Carly Waller & companion Drew; adoptive family, Scott & Carolyn Waller of Gallatin, Eddie Campbell of Hendersonville.
