Dorothy Helen Lynn Kernell, age 78 of Red Boiling Springs, TN passed away Thursday afternoon, August 6, 2020 at the Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.  Dorothy is at the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN.   

Funeral Services for Dorothy Helen Lynn Kernell will be conducted on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with Jack Honeycutt officiating.  Interment will follow in the Smith Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will begin on Saturday 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m.

The family request memorials be made to assist the family with funeral expenses. You may make these memorials by calling or coming by the funeral home.

The family asks that anyone attending the visitation to please wear a mask and refrain from any physical contact with the family such as hugs and handshakes. All CDC guidelines are to be followed.

She is survived by: Husband, Roy Kernell of Red Boiling Springs; Daughter & Son-in-Law, Sherri & Chris McDonald of Lafayette; Granchildren, Kevin & wife Crystal Newberry of Red Boiling Springs, Cameron McDonald and fiancé, Amanda of Westmoreland, Kalista McDonald and fiancé, Christopher of Lafayette; Sisters & Brothers-in-Law, Winnie & Kenneth Craighead of Gainesboro, Bobbie Lynn of Celina, Frances & A.B.
