Emodene Slate

Emodene Slate, age 96 of Franklin, TN and formerly of Red Boiling Springs, TN passed away Monday morning, May 31, 2021 at her residence at Waves.  Emodene is at the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN.

Graveside Services & Interment for Emodene Slate will be conducted Saturday afternoon, June 5, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Whitley Cemetery with Elder Joey Hackett officiating.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Her family wants to express their deepest gratitude to Waves in Franklin, TN for the love and outstanding care that was given to Emodene for 30 years & Willowbrook Hospice for 4 years.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Edith Lyons Slate, sister, Naomi Ford Bolt , brother, James Slate and nephews, Richard & David Slate.

Survivors includes: nieces, Sharon Hester & her husband, Barry of Birmingham, AL, Kathy Hudson and her husband, Lanny of Johnson City, TN; nephew, Jeff Ford of Nashville, TN.
