Ernest Young, age 80 of the Leonard Community in Clay County, TN passed away Saturday afternoon, July 4, 2026 at his residence. Ernest is in the care of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN.

Graveside Services & Interment for Ernest Young will be conducted Monday afternoon, July 6, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. from the Young Family Cemetery with Russell Driver officiating.

Visitation will begin at the Anderson & Son Funeral Home on Monday from 12 noon until time to leave for the cemetery at 2:45 p.m.

He is preceded in death by: parents, Carl & Genner (Kirby) Young; sisters, Thelma Young, Ruby Young, Ruth Williams, Mattie Faye Young, & Eva Williams; brothers, Ronald, Thomas, Ray, Junior, & Roy Young.

Survivors include: wife, Geraldine Young; sons, Johnny Young & wife, Christina & Jody Young all of the Leonard Community; 6 grandchildren, Deanny Young, Jade Young, Graci Young, Ty Young, Cooper Young, & Case Young; brother, Troy Young & wife, Angie of Red Boiling Springs; brothers-in-law, Ronnie Coons of Lafayette & Donnie Coons of Red Boiling Springs.
