Genear L. Carter, age 90 of Lafayette, passed away Sunday evening, July 19, 2026 at Knollwood Manor. Genear is in the care of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette, TN.

Funeral Services for Genear L. Carter will be conducted Monday afternoon, July 27, 2026 at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Elder Dean Dyer officiating. Interment will follow in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park.

Visitation will begin Sunday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and again on Monday from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm.

She is preceded in death by: Husband, Arlis Carter, Parents, Omer & Annie Jones McPeak, Sister, Alene McPeak, Brothers, James, Eldon & Ogene McPeak.

Survivors include: Daughter, Shelia Mantegani & husband, Steve of Hendersonville, Grandchildren, Lindsey Thompson & husband, Barrett, Jennifer Mantegani-Valiente & husband, Fernando, Anthony Mantegani & wife, Lindsay, Great-grandchildren, Brody & Braxton Thompson, Ambrose & Antonio Mantegani-Valiente, Stevie Mantegani, Sister, Shirley McPeak, Brothers, Glen & Wayne McPeak, Numerous nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
