Gervis Lamar Birdwell, age 85 of the Union Hill Community in Clay County, TN. passed away Sunday afternoon, April 12, 2015 at the  Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN.  Gervis is at Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN.

Funeral services for Gervis Lamar Birdwell will be conducted Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with Roy Henson officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery.    

Visitation with the family will begin Tuesday 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Wednesday 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. 

Survivors include: daughters & sons-in-law, Debbie & Wayne Knight, Lafayette, Sherron & Perry Young, Red Boiling Springs; son-in-law, John Rich, Hermitage; sisters, Dorothy Smith, Celina, Elease Maggard, Greenwood, IN, Shirley Matthews, Glasgow, KY, Barbara Merrit, Franklin, KY, Sandara Wheet & Dana Henson both of Red Boiling Springs, Doneda Woodard, Franklin; brothers, Delbert Birdwell, Union Hill Community, Dumas Birdwell, Indianapolis, IN; five grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
