THE FAMILY REQUESTS THAT NO FLOWERS OR GIFTS BE SENT TO THE FUNERAL HOME OR RESIDENCE..
Jack Douglas Jenkins, age 77, of Brentwood, a native of Red Boiling Springs, TN, passed away
on May 20, 2020 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, after a long struggle with cancer.
Jack was one of seven children, born to the late Gordon and Lucille (McGehee) Jenkins in Red
Boiling Springs, TN . In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger
and by sisters, Martha and Mary.
At the age of 21, he married the former Nina Russell on September 12, 1964, who survives and
lives in Brentwood. They had the perfect marriage, remaining best friends throughout their
married life. During Jack’s career as an executive with PEP Industries and Alcoa, they lived in
Nashville, San Antonio, TX and La Quinta, CA where they made lifelong friends in each
location. He took pride in his work, earning his college degree while raising his sons, but his
real love was for his wife and family. Work took them all over the world and they met many
good friends. He especially enjoyed playing golf and had many wonderful experiences. He was
deeply connected and cared about the people he worked with and that was reciprocated by so
many of them.
Jack had a great love for his family, including his two sons and their spouses, Doug and Cindy
Jenkins and John and Pily Jenkins, and including his six grandchildren and their spouses, and
two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, Don, Jimmy and Joe, and many
nieces and nephews.
His gentle nature, easy conversation and laughter will be missed by the many that loved him.
The family has requested a private family graveside service with IMMEDIATE FAMILY ONLY. The graveside will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at the Anderson & Son Memorial Park in Lafayette, TN, .
