He "recruited" me into recruiting. One of the best bosses I have ever had. He was a prince of a man, and a dear friend. He had the capacity to maintain a supervisor/subordinate relationship and yet be a friend. I will always remember him fondly and honor him. I thank God I knew him and he was a part of my life. My prayers for all family members. MSG(R) Rodney D. Whaley

Heart-breaking to hear this about Jerry. What a good man ... and a quiet, gentle man. I feel blessed that we were not justfriends, but military brothers. Rest up there with God, Jerry. We're going to all be together again one of these days -- all of the old Recruiting gang plus a lot more.
