Marisa was such a neat and unique person and a lovely young woman. I feel privileged to have been probably the only doctor to take care of her in both Nashville and Pittsburgh. Her strong spirit will be missed. My deepest condolences to your entire family. Your are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Alicia and David,
My name is Jeanne Marchetti and I am the mother of four children. Our youngest, Margaret, has CF and for that reason I feel a connection to you. Every mother and father with a child who has been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis knows how deadly the disease is and my heart breaks that your daughter was taken by the disease. Hopefully, there is some comfort knowing that Marisa no longer has to suffer.
I am a member of the Family Relations Committee which is a part of the local CF Chapter. We meet periodically with no agenda but rather to get to know other parents of children with CF. On behalf of myself and that committee, I extend my deepest sympathy.
