Mary Frances Davenport Merritt, age 90 of the New Harmony Community in Macon County, TN, passed away Saturday morning, December 13, 2025 at Knollwood Manor. Mary is in the care of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette, TN.

Funeral Services for Mary Frances Davenport Merritt will be conducted Tuesday morning, December 16, 2025, at 10:00 am from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Brother David Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in the Hendersonville Memory Gardens at 1:00 p.m.

Visitation will begin Monday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until service time at 10:00 a.m.

She is preceded in death by: husband, William “Bill” Merritt; daughter, Terri Carter; parents, Luther & Arvie (Jenkins) Davenport.

Survivors include: sons, Mark Merritt & wife, Kim of the New Harmony Community, Bill Merritt & wife, Tammy of Land O’ Lakes, FL, Aubrey Merritt & wife, Tammy of Hendersonville; daughter, Susie Worrell & husband, Gary of Lafayette; 14 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, & numerous great-great-grandchildren.
