Pleas Reed Copas, age 92 of the Mt. Vernon Community in Clay County, TN, passed away Sunday evening, January 15, 2017 at the Cumberland River Hospital in Celina. Pleas is at the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN.
Funeral Services for Pleas Reed Copas will be conducted Wednesday afternoon January 18, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with E. C. Meadows and Shane Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Leonard Cemetery with full military honors by the Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation with the family will begin Tuesday 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Wednesday 10 a.m. until his service at 1 p.m. Family request memorials be made to the Leonard Cemetery. You may make these memorials by calling or coming by the funeral home.
Survivors include: wife, Mildred Bilbrey Copas of the Mt. Vernon Community; son & daughter-in-law, Dr. Pleas Reed Copas, Jr. and his wife, Sheila of Knoxville; daughters & sons-in-law, Dianna & Terry Gann of Red Boiling Springs, Veda & Gary Hix of the Mt. Vernon Community; grandchildren, Scarlett (Jeff) Asberry of Mt. Vernon Community, Dr. Don Asberry of Bluff City, Tiffany (Brian) Bearfield of Simpsonville, SC, Steffany Copas of Corryton, Mary Elizabeth (Randy) Cherry of the Mt. Vernon Community; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Ray Copas of Mt. Vernon Community; devoted caregiver, Joe Roberts of Mt. Vernon Community.
