Robert Nelson Strong, age 74 of Celina, TN passed away Monday afternoon, September 14, 2026 at Macon Community Hospital. Robert is in the care of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN.

Funeral Services for Robert Nelson Strong will be conducted Thursday morning, September 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with John Carlisle officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until service time at 10:00 a.m.

He is preceded in death by: parents, Hub & Maxie (Denton) Strong & several siblings.

Survivors include: wife, Gail Cherry Strong of Celina; daughters, Melissa Strong Smith & husband, Ronnie of the Union Hill Community, Melanie Davenport of Auburntown; son, Phillip Strong of the Union Hill Community; grandchildren, Matthew Smith, Hannah Smith Wix, Hayley Smith, Cody Strong, & Destinee Charles; 15 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way; sisters, Barbara Hix & husband, Bennie of Hilham, Wanda Hubertz of Ohio; Brothers, Wayne Strong & Jack Strong both of Gainesboro; sister-in-law, Judy Rich & husband, Steve of the Hermitage Springs Community; brothers-in-law, Doug Cherry & wife, Rita of Soddy Daisy, Tim Cherry of the Union Hill Community & several nieces & nephews.
