Ronnie Buel Hix

Ronnie Buel Hix, age 72 of Sevierville, TN passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, February 22nd at home. Mr. Hix arranged to donate his body to Vanderbilt University for medical research. He was born on January 13, 1945 to the late Buel Hix and Alma Ruth Hix of Red Boiling Springs, TN. He grew up in a home full of siblings. Ronnie’s siblings are: the late Sue Hix Whitley of Nashville TN, the late Delton Hix of Fayetteville NC, Nelson (Mickey) Hix of Frankfort KY, Roger (Sue) Hix of Glasgow, KY, Ray (Carol) Hix of Dothan AL, Delbert (Beverly) Hix of Lafayette TN, the late Dennis & Carolyn Hix of Lafayette TN, Cathy Hix of Cookeville TN, Phillip (Kay) Hix of Clayton IN, Fred (Donna) Hix of Greenbrier TN, Mark (Kim) Hix of Red Boiling Springs TN. Ronnie was a general contractor in middle TN before retiring to Sevierville in 2005.

Mr. Hix was preceded in death by wife, Mary Ruth Davis Hix in 1977. They are survived by daughters, Michelle Hix McCoy of Mt. Juliet TN and April Hix (fiancé Gary Bellar) of Sevierville TN and grandchildren: Mary Beth and Mackenzie McCoy, Belle and Davis Beach.

Mr. Hix is survived by wife, Julianne White Hix, son, Jeremiah (Katrina) Hix of North Pole, AK and grandchildren: Ana and Trenton Hix.

A Memorial Service will be held for Ronnie B. Hix on Saturday, March 4th at 2:00pm EST at Victory Baptist Church, 1625 Old Newport Highway, Sevierville, TN 37862 with Pastor Aaron Swain officiating. The family will receive friends before the service on Saturday beginning at 1pm. There will be a refreshments provided in the fellowship hall of the church following the Memorial Service.
