It was such a privilege to meet Roy Dycus, whose grandfather Leroy Dycus is my 3 times great-grandfather. I visited with Roy in the summer of 2015 and 2017, and he graciously allowed me to explore the cemetery, the barn, and the house where my Dycus ancestors lived and worked for more than a century. I will never forget these two occasions, and I'm so grateful to have met this man when I did. My condolences to his survivors, especially William and Linda, who reflect their father's hospitable nature and whose generosity and kindness I'll always remember.
