I met Thomas Davenport in 1972 when he was serving in the United States Army at Ft Benning Ga. My husband was serving there also and we became friends with Tommy and Shirley. It was my first time being away from my family. Thomas Davenport was a true gentleman and a wonderful friend to us. It made my time there like being with my own family. I will always treasure those memories . I want his family to know what a blessing the friendship was. He was a true Christian.
