Gordon Gregory, age 90 of Lafayette, TN passed away Saturday morning, February 8, 2020 at his residence. Gordon is at the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette, TN.
Funeral Services for Gordon Gregory will be conducted Sunday afternoon, February 16, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Elder Ottis Jones and Elder Dean Dyer officiating. Interment will follow in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park.
Masonic Rites will be conducted Saturday evening, February 15, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette by the Lafayette Masonic Lodge # 543 F & AM.
Visitation with the family will begin Friday afternoon from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. until his services at 2 p.m. Family requests memorials be made to Sherry’s Run. You may make these memorials by calling or coming by the funeral home.
Survivors includes: wife, Virginia Parkes Gregory of Lafayette; children & their spouses, Diane & Milton Travis of Lebanon, Phillip & Sheron Gregory of Lafayette, Joey & Donna Gregory of Gallatin, Cynthia & Larry Hudson of the Winklers Community in Macon County; brother & sister-in-law, Ralph & Betty Gregory of Lafayette; grandchildren & their spouses, Erick & Angie Travis of Lebanon, Leslie & Danny Sawyer of Mt. Juliet, Loria Spears of Murray, KY, Stacy Cadwell of Lafayette, Nathan Gregory, Kinsley & Charlie Smith, Justin Gregory, Kristen Gregory all of Gallatin, Mark & Scarlett Hudson of the Winklers Community in Macon County, Melanie & Kendall Tuck of Lafayette; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
Gordon was saved when he was 10 years old the first time he went to the bench on the night of October 5, 1939 during Ebenezer's Revival and was baptized by W.C. Little Willie Taylor on October 8, 1939 into Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, where he remained for the rest of his life.
